William Tyndale (1536): Known as the "Father of the English Bible," was strangled and burned at the stake for his translation efforts.

John Rogers (1555): Burned at the stake under Queen Mary I for his work on the Matthew Bible, which was built on Tyndale's translation.

Thomas Hitton (1530): A priest burned alive for heresy after confessing to smuggling Tyndale Bibles into England.

Smugglers: Individuals who smuggled Tyndale's Bibles into England in bales of cloth faced severe penalties, including execution.

JESUS HIMSELF, GAVE HIS BLOOD TO WRITE THE NEW TESTAMENT

MATTHEW 26     26b Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body [broken for you].

HEBREWS 9     16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
    17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
