"PRIDE THE FORGOTTEN SIN"

"SATAN COMMITED THE FIRST SIN AND THAT SIN WAS PRIDE"

EZEKIEL 28   17 Thine heart [Satan] was lifted up [¹pride] because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness [¹pride]: I [God] will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

"SATAN WAS REJECTED BY GOD FOR THE SIN OF PRIDE"

ISAIAH 14   12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer [Satan], son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!   13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven [¹pride], I will exalt my throne above the stars of God [¹pride]: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north [¹pride]:   14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds [¹pride]; I will be like the most High [¹pride].   15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

"SODOM AND GOMORRAH WERE DESTROYED BY THE SIN OF PRIDE"

EZEKIEL 16   49 Behold, this was the iniquity [²sin] of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.   50 And they were haughty [proud; arrogant], and committed abomination before me: therefore I [God] took them away [destroyed them] as I saw good.

PROVERBS 16   5 Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination [disgusting thing] to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

ISAIAH 2   12 For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low. ISAIAH 13   11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. JEREMIAH 50   31 Behold, I am against thee, O thou most proud, saith the Lord GOD of hosts: for thy day is come, the time that I will visit thee.   32 And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all round about him. MALACHI 4   1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

"PRIDE WILL DESTROY YOU"

PROVERBS 16   18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty [proud] spirit before a fall. MARK 7   21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,   22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:   23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

"ONLY CHRIST JESUS CAN SAVE YOU FROM THE SIN OF PRIDE"

JOHN 14   6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father [God/Heaven], but by me. ACTS 4   12 Neither is there salvation in any other [speaking of Christ Jesus]: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. ROMANS 6   23 For the wages of sin [²pride] is death [³Hell]; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. JAMES 4   6c God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace [Salvation] unto the humble.

"IF YOUR DESIRE IS TO BE SAVED FROM THE SIN OF PRIDE MAKE THIS PRAYER YOUR OWN"

Dear God, I am truly sorry; please forgive me for breaking Your Laws (sinning against You); I change my mind from my way to Your Way and will live my life according to that change of mind (I repent). Jesus, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God; that You died on the Cross as payment for all my sins; and that You were buried and rose again the third day according to the scriptures. Jesus, I put my faith in you; please cleanse me with your sinless blood and reconcile me unto God the Father. Have the Holy Spirit regenerate (my spirit) and become one with my spirit: cause me to be born again. I now personally receive you. Christ Jesus, as my Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me. Amen
